Wearing all black is not a new concept, but it's new to me. The only time I wore all black was at my job as a server in a restaurant. Maybe it left a bad taste in my mouth (kind of like the food hehehehehehehe). I've never been the person to wear much black -- let alone all black. Don't get me wrong, black is a staple when it comes to clothes & being able to use them in different ways. Black garments are versatile & easy to style, but it was never my thing.
When it comes to fashion, you need to mix it up. If you do the same thing over & over without any change or progress isn't that called a mistake? This is for the people like me where the thought of sporting all-black is a little frightening or a little dark or little out of character, but let's try something new shall we?
Black can be a little dull, lackluster. A plain black tee is a bit boring. This look is my way of playing with various textures to create more dimension. I started off by finding the right bottoms. These faux leather pants are totally rad & a bit edgy. Pair them with a cool mesh t-shirt. Nope, that's not plain at all! Pull it together with your favorite pair of chunky heels. Look taller but walk easy. These lovely shoes are simple to maneuver in. No need for stilettos!
I'm super obsessed with faux fur, so clearly I had to toss a sexy little coat in there. Keep all your gadgets in a sleek purse. The gold gives it just the right amount of pop & the chain, ohh the chain. I omitted any jewelry or other accessories because you can figure that out on your own. :]
I wanted to keep this basic black look not so basic. I like playing around with texture & fabric because it's less flat & adds some pizzazz. If you're like me let's go ahead & try to rock an all black look this month. If all black is your staple go to look then you already are a master.
