Graze [Snacks by Mail] Review

Snacks are the best & they're even better when delivered right to your doorstep. Graze is a subscription box that focuses on healthier alternatives to those tasty treats we enjoy noshing on. I did a previous review on Graze Snacks by Mail a couple months ago which you can read here.

This box must've gotten lost in the mail because it had Easter packaging even though we got it weeks after Easter. Each box is $6.99 & free from artificial flavors or colors, high fructose corn syrup, & genetically engineered ingredients. Each snack is perfectly portioned & simple to take on the road. It's snacking reinvented. Well I'm back again with another review. Let's see how this Graze box faired.

The Fruit Mango Chutney comes with black pepper dippers. It's got that sweet & savory flavor to twist your taste buds. Cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, nigella seeds, paprika, & other spices give it a unique kick. My boyfriend & I both agreed that this is an acquired taste & something that our preferences did not particularly enjoy. To each his own.

The Punchy Protein Nuts contain 6 grams of protein & have chili & lime cashews, raw & blanched almonds, & raw pistachio kernels. I was a little underwhelmed by the flavor. There's definitely no punch. More like a hug. More lime & more chili please.

Lime flavored raisins, green raisins, mini meringues, & vanilla cookie drops can all be found in the Key Lime Pie. The mix of textures was pleasant & the lime refreshing. The meringues in particular stood out  because they would melt in your mouth. Super delicious. However, I would say that there were twice as many raisins as everything else.

Now for what's easily one of my favorite snacks from Graze: the Cocoa & Vanilla Protein Flapjack. With rustic rolled oats, cocoa, & seeds, this flapjack is the perfect balance of oats & chocolate. You aren't overwhelmed by the chocolate.

This box was pretty good. I don't know why I keep subscribing to Graze since it's nearly $7 for four tiny snacks. Maybe it's the surprise, the anticipation of when it's coming & what's in it. But I keep shoveling money toward it. Have you ever tried Graze or any other food subscription box? What'd you think? Which of these snacks appeals to you the most? :]

  6. Sounds like a cool concept, but I definitely think you're paying extra for the novelty and surprise. However, I really want to try the key lime pie. It looks inspired.

  9. I only like the flapjack and the others made me go uh huh. I must say this is such an interesting way to get snacks though, don't think we have anything like this in Canada or at least not where I am living.

  20. I love Graze!! I think the boxes and breakfast boxes are a great way to eat healthy snacks. I used to have a subscription but it's a bit pricey for a student so now just make my own cheaper versions ;) xx

  28. They have some incredible snacks! I stopped using them though after they played cheeky. I got this special offer to get free snacks and was led to believe they'd send me one box to trial free of charge. So I registered and got my first box which was great but then the boxes kept on coming and they kept on charging me for it! In the end I complained and they cancelled my subscription but I really wasn't impressed. They should have made things a lot clearer... Cant deny they have some really yummy snacks though. I'm a sucker for mixed nuts right now. Filling & healthy! xx

  30. I’ve always wanted to try these - I think they advertise it on Comedy Bang Bang - but unfortunately they don’t ship to where I am :( It does seem like a really steep price for four small snacks though, so maybe it’s better I can’t get a hold of them haha
Great review though, I still really want to try the spicy siracha peas from our other post!

  31. I wish we had a smaller prized food box in SA, we only have one food box here and it's priced around $50pm which I feel is a little but steep so I'd happily pay $7 for a smaller snack box :)

  32. I subscribed to Graze for about two months before canceling. For a broke twenty-something, paying $7 a week for four small portion snacks just wasn't justifiable after a certain point. I enjoyed getting mail and the packaging was so nice, but the snacks weren't overly delicious. Definitely good, but not great. If I had the money though I would sign up again!
