Beauty Products I Still Haven't Tried

The blogging community is a wonderful one filled with inspiration, motivation, & insight. I love to surf the web & check out what bloggers have to say, what they're using, & how it fares. That said, I begin to realize what items are trending. As popular as they are, I have to admit I haven't tried many of the most talked about, most sought after beauty products on the market. I'm currently going through a phase of utilizing what I already own & investing in pieces I can see myself using often. Am I a bad blogger? Because these are some beauty products I still haven't tried.

california lifestyle blogger

Roller Lash by Benefit Cosmetics - I've seen so many posts & reviews for this. The reviews are prevalent & unending. However, the thing that I've noticed is that there are mixed reviews. Some people swear by it whereas others are unimpressed. I obviously don't have an opinion on it since I have yet to try it.

Urban Decay Naked Palette - Every blogger & her mother, grandmother, sister, & friend has talked about this palette. Now there's not just one Naked Palette there are several. And, you guessed it, I haven't tested out a single one. Due to the never ending wave of make up of the day posts, I feel like I know this palette like the back of my hand.

Nars Orgasm Blush - It's safe to say Orgasm is a cult classic. The blush has been a staple for several years now, but I just haven't made the leap to purchasing it. It truly has such a spectacular color & I'm pretty sure it would go great with my skin tone. I love the mild, subdued hue.

beautyblender Makeup Sponge Applicator - This little make up sponge sponge is everywhere. Pretty much everyone has tried it. The eco-friendly, reusable factor is a highlight for me. Apparently you can use it for concealer, foundation, primer, cream blush, you name it.

Ruby Woo by MAC - Despite it being one of the best selling lipsticks in the world, I unintentionally keep ignoring Ruby Woo. It's such a bold & exciting shade of red, but I always forget about it once I head to the mall. It's gorgeous & has such a pop!
I never claimed to be beauty expert so don't be too shocked that I haven't tested these cult classics yet. But it's safe to say I do need to expand my repertoire. Hopefully I'm not the only one out there. Have you not tried any of these items as well? I can't be the only one can I? :]

  3. Count me in Carmen! I haven't tried any of these too. As much as I want to try beauty blender or every single benefit products, but I'm too broke for that. Gotta save them all on my wish list and buy them one by one once I have a job :D

  5. Ruby Woo Mac is amazing, I bought mine and lost it on a night out - I only got to use it once and I'm absolutely gutted!
I also bought it for a friend for her birthday after I lost mine. The amount of times I was tempted to keep it for myself and buy her something else was a joke!

Also, the beauty blender sponge - get one! You will never look back!
I thought people looked dumb blobbing their faces with a sponge but it really works wonders!

  7. This exact list applies to me. Of everything, the items that I want to try the most would have to be Mac's Ruby Woo and the Naked palette.

  8. I have not tried the sponge or mascara, but admittedly I love my Naked Palette and Ruby Woo. I like Sin better than Orgasm when it comes to Nars blushes, but right now I use an Elf color called Mellow Mauve, and I like it almost as well as Sin, plus it was only $3.

  10. I haven't tried any of those products either! It's not so surprising because I'm quite cheap when it comes to makeup. I tend to more likely be swayed with hyped drugstore brands and even then I'm just as behind the times ;)

  12. I can definitely relate to this post! I've tried the beauty blender, but that is it! I own exactly zero of the Naked Palettes, no Mac products whatsoever and have never tried the much acclaimed Nars blush! That is 100% okay, though, even as beauty bloggers ;) Great post! XO -Kim

  13. I've not tried the beauty blender or Ruby Woo by MAC. Highly recommend the Naked Palette - I've had it for 4 years already and practically use it every day! Have the NARS multiple in orgasm, so haven't tried the powder formula but the creamy stick is amazing for the winter months because the creamy texture and the little bit of shimmer make you look alive!

  22. Don't worry I haven't tried most of these either!! I've only tried the Benefit Roller lash which I wasn't a big fan of sadly :( But the Naked Palette is at the top of my wishlists - you're definitely right when you say that every blogger & her mother, grandmother, sister, & friend has raved about it haha! I also want to try the beauty blender although I've heard many sponges are quite similar anyway like the real techniques one which is even cheaper :)

  24. The beauty blender is the best!! It is seriously worth it. I will admit, I was hesitant because it was so expensive (I spent $40 for 2 sponges and a cleaner) but it was soooo so worth it. My foundation/cc cream is so much more blended and just works with my skin texture. It is so hard to explain until you use it! They make a Blender Pure which is white, for creams and serums that I now want to try. Give it a go!

That Ruby Woo lipstick is so gorgeous - I will have to check it out.

    Happy weekend!! xx SS

  28. Hello Carmen,
I have the beauty blender as well and can highly recommend it!
It really does what is says on the tin = it blends in your makeup so smoothly
and also so easy. I am not much a makeup person but when I do I want to look
natural but yet with a perfect skin. That delivers it! I would recommend you buying two and
the soap to clan it so when you clean one you can use the other and let the wet one to dry well.

I also have the NAKED 1 palette. I have the first on and to be honest I totally hate it. I am considering I might be getting the NAKED BASIC one or I was also looking at a brand called Stila. I do not remember the name of the palette but if you would be interested I could find out :)
