5 Things I'm Loving Right Now ♥

Hello, hello! How was your week? Mine was...speedy. I've been going on more walks, & I adore seeing the irresistible beauty that is Southern California on a much more regular basis. The temperatures have warmed up but sometimes the weather likes gifting us with a few minutes of fleeting heavy rain. Make up your mind, San Diego! Now that it's Friday, I'll kick off my shoes, enjoy some grocery shopping, & then get ready for a weekend in San Clemente. PARTY! Here's what I'm loving this week:

Productivity

Whether I'm heading to a beautiful Carlsbad event while simultaneously getting great photos to use across my social media channels or going on a walk while dictating a blog post, productivity is an excellent feeling. I'm not sure if this is deemed as productivity or multitasking or even a little bit of both, but it's still a good feeling altogether.

rose arrangement

Free Flowers

You may have read about my really cool free flowers adventure earlier this week. To sum it up, I found two ridiculously large & utterly gorgeous flower arrangements by the dumpster. Someone thoughtfully left the arrangements in sight without making me climb inside. I ended up swooping them both. They're sitting beautifully on the counter as we speak, wilting away slowly.

breaking bad

Breaking Bad

Yes, I know I'm extremely late on the Breaking Bad train, but that isn't going to stop me. You guys should know by now I'm a bit of a Netflix fiend. My boyfriend & I finished our Gilmore Girls rendezvous & deliberated long & hard on what to queue up next. We're currently on season two episode six of Breaking Bad.

27

My boyfriend turned 27 last week, & it was a mind-boggling experience considering I've known him since he was 17. It's crazy how so much time has passed, but it's more interesting to look at the progress, the growth, the knowledge, & the experiences acquired throughout all that time. We've both grown a lot as human beings & as a couple.

sushi

Sushi

As a vegetarian, it seems like a weird juxtaposition to even attempt to eat sushi since the whole premise is fish or raw fish, but that doesn't stop me. It's basically a hobby to find vegetarian-friendly sushi. I picked up the Avocado, Cream Cheese, & Cucumber Roll, the Vegetarian Rancho Roll (avocado, cream cheese, fried in tempura batter topped with spicy mayo, jalapeno, & Sriracha), & the Vegetable Tempura from Tabu Sushi Bar & Grill. My favorite was the Vegetarian Rancho Roll. Yummm.

What are you loving right now? Anything from my list? :]

  5. A huge happy birthday to your boyfriend, Carmen! It's lovely to hear how long you've known each other for, and who knew then that 10 years later the both of you would be together? Free flowers are always a plus point! I got a bouquet this week, too, though they're paper folded by a special someone so they won't wilt, haha. I hope you enjoy the weekend, Carmen! x

  9. I'm such a fan of sushi too! I went to Japan in January though and the sushi you can get in England is incomparable to what I was eating there haha! I can't believe you found bouquets of flowers by the bin, what good luck! Thanks for your comment on my recent blog post... do you want to follow each other on Bloglovin' so we can keep up with each others' posts? Really like your blog :)

Yayyy it's Friday, happy weekend! I absolutely love those red roses. It is indeed impressive that you and your boyfriend have shared so much time and so many experiences together, during a period of life when we tend to grow ,change and develop a lot. I hope you'll celebrate many many more birthdays together : ) xo

  19. You can definitely find vegetarian sushi. There is always ( at least where I'm from) a vegetarian section on the menu for it. Speaking of sushi - my grandma treated me to some tonight and that was certainly a highlight of my week!

It's good you're motivated and doing well. Sushi is amazing, even if its vegetarian, definitely one of my guilty pleasures!

  22. I love sushi too but don't eat seafood LOL. Over here we have "California Rolls" which are filled with a variety of things, from veggie to meat and even seafood. But I am obsessed with these.

  23. Productivity is the BEST feeling, and how much do flowers bright up your day (especially free ones! Hehe.). I eat so much vegetarian sushi just because it's yummy, the place I go to has a yummy ginger, cream cheese and avo one and veggie tempuras are one of my faves!
