Just a Sprinkle of California Love ♥

San Francisco, California

It's a beautiful summer's day. The sky is a pale blue, not a cloud in sight. The palm fronds sway side to side, dancing with the afternoon breeze. A couple of teenage girls in bikinis head to the pool with their towels in tow. A small brown lizard scuttles by, does a few push-ups in the sun, then runs off. I hear someone laughing & the chirp chirp chirp of birds in the trees. This is California.

San Clemente, California

From Yosemite National Park to Disneyland to the Golden Gate Bridge, California has an array of attractions, experiences, food, life, & history to offer. What's the most popular city? Well, Fresno, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, & San Jose are some of the most populated cities in the state.

Carlsbad, California

Although I was born in Melbourne, Australia, I've spent most of my life here in the Golden State. When I was a little girl I had an Australian accent, but now I'm a full blown California business woman. After all, California has been my home for 20+ years. I grew up in San Diego County, went to university in Orange County, then came back to San Diego after graduating. I've been there ever since.

Escondido, California

Whether you want to call Northern California, Central California, or Southern California home, ForRent.com aims to inspire people to find a place to live. ForRent is an apartment rental listing service where you can search for professionally managed apartments. The Internet makes everything easier, am I right?

Palm Springs, California

In 2017, I made it a priority to discover more of California. In the last few months, I've seen the likes of: Lone Pine in Inyo County, South Lake Tahoe in El Dorado County, Torrance in Los Angeles County, & Encinitas in San Diego County. Each place is unique with its own beauty & experiences.

Do you like theme parks? Check out Disneyland, Universal Studios, or Knott's Berry Farm. Do you like natural wonders? Explore Death Valley, Lake Tahoe, or Redwood National Park. Do you like eating or drinking? Don't worry, California has options.

Balboa Park in San Diego, California

But hey, I'm not the only one in the world who loves living in California. I asked my friends & followers why they love California. Here are some of their reasons:

1. The coastline
2. The weather
3. The wine
4. The beaches
5. The Bay
6. You can experience every terrain, every season - beach, mountains, snow, desert, winter, spring, summer, autumn
7. The ocean, mountains, & desert are all just a few hours from one another
8. So much wildlife & nature to experience
9. So many adventures
8. Country life
9. City life
10. Disneyland
11. Hollywood
12. San Joaquin Valley
13. Mexican food

San Marcos, California

  2. My family and I currently live in SoCal and so far we are enjoying it. We are a military family, so this is not a permanent home for us. Busy schedules, hot summers and expense has kept us from doing too much of the touristy type things. Cost of living, gas, groceries, rent etc are really high especially for a family of 5...not a lot left over in the kitty. I'm hoping to make more "get to know California better" priorities over the next year.

  4. So true. California is not cheap, that's for sure. I like to think we pay for the great weather, except summers have been getting hotter. I recently started exploring my nearby cities since they make good day trips! Hope you get to explore this year! :]

I live in San Diego and I love it! It's within reach of the beach, the bays, the mountains, hiking, camping. And San Diego has so many good places to eat with various ethnic foods you can choose from!

Living in NJ, I have only been to California once - to go to San Francisco for a very short business trip. But, in that short time I was there I fell in love and I hope one day I will see these places!

  11. We were just in California a few weeks ago and I made my husband drive me through Beverly Hills and throughout Los Angeles because I'd never been there before. It's so different than San Francisco and Sonoma! I'm curious to see what San Diego is like.
