Oh Copenhagen. How I miss thee. Your rainy, gloomy, windy summer days. Your scrumptious open-faced sandwiches. Your local Carlsberg beer. Your gargantuan palaces. I remember it fondly & I remember it well. Now all I have are photographs, journal entries, memories. Here are some ideas on things to do in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Unlike sunny San Diego, Copenhagen was gloomy almost the entire time I was there. It was a wonderful spin on my usual Californian summer. Layers & long socks were needed. A jacket with a hoodie or an umbrella were vital so you wouldn't end up soggy four hours. Not that I minded. It was a welcome change. Make sure you layer up. You can always do some shopping!

You can see a glimpse of Denmark by checking out my post on Copenhagen Street Art & Graffiti. There were so many beautiful pieces to spot. Street art is one of my favorite things to look for when visiting any place. The art is not immediately noticeable but ever since I found one, I've always kept an eye out for more. They're really cool little bits of culture & vary from place to place.

You may recognize bits & pieces of the outfit I'm wearing from previous OOTD posts.  I have a good range of clothing but I always end up reaching for the same pieces; that's probably because they're a little bit more versatile & easy to style with varying pieces. I wore the shorts last summer in Tropico. The cardigan is one of my all-time favorites; I rocked it nearly every day on my Europe trip. You may see it on my Oh My Layers post from last fall.

The dainty crop top can be seen in my latest OOTD for KAABOO Del Mar. The awesome carpet looking purse made its debut in Mary Poppins, the post not the film. My velvet combat boots are another top pick; I've worn them nearly to death. You can check them out in Get a Clue, Winter & the New Year, & Rainy Day. Looking back I probably wore these boots for 75% of my outfit posts. And you know what? I don't care. I have no shame. They are the most amazing boots I've ever had.

Travel is definitely one of the most amazing things you can do with your time & money. You can sit at home but you won't get a traditional Danish. You know the pastry? It's called a Danish. But I'll tell you what: the best Danish you'll ever have is actually in Denmark made by Danish person. Just saying. I hope you enjoyed this miniature glimpse of my time in Europe.

Have you ever eaten a Danish? Do you like street art as much as me? When was the last time you went thrift shopping? Do you find yourself wearing the same garments over & over?  :]
