Christmas Gift Ideas for Men
Why are men so difficult to shop for? What makes it so mind-bogglingly arduous to purchase presents for them? Christmas season is upon us so I consulted with my boyfriend on presents & gifts to give the men in your life. Father, brother, husband, fiancé, boyfriend, friend, best friend, cousin, it doesn't matter. These are some tried & true Christmas gift ideas for men.
Here's the thing: there are gifts men want & gifts they need. Sometimes men express items they desire so open your eyes & ears; be receptive. But then sometimes you have to figure it out yourself. Does anybody want socks? I don't know, maybe. Does anybody need socks? Definitely. Keep that in mind.
Pop Culture T-Shirt - Whether it's your dad, grandpa, boyfriend, roommate, best friend, he has a passion. There is some sort of television show, film, band that he adores. If you know him well enough you may already have something in mind. However, if you're not sure what to get him simply ask what's his favorite movie, artist, performer, etc. For example, this X-Files "I Want to Believe" tee may be the perfect Christmas gift idea for men! My boyfriend says, "As an X-Files fan, I always wanted Mulder's poster, but it's even better in t-shirt form."

Wash for Men Body Wash* - This hefty 16 oz. bottle of natural body wash for men will satisfy his showering needs for at least a couple months. Wash for Men is sustainably produced & made in the USA. The smell is refreshing & the lather is magnificent. My boyfriend says, “I really enjoyed the invigorating scent of citrus. The soap foamed up really well leaving me clean & smelling good.”
Acure Day Cream* - No matter your age, no matter your gender you should always take care of your skin. The day cream is small but packs a mean punch. It's supposed to firm skin & help fight environmental damage. It smells good & works effectively. My boyfriend says, "The Acure Day Cream left my skin feeling moisturized all day without leaving my face too oily or dry."
Dr. Squatch Pine Tar Exfoliating Bar* - For the men who like bar soaps, the natural soaps from Dr. Squatch smell so bomb. They are handmade in the USA & lather luxuriously. Oh the lather. It makes the whole bathroom smell delightful after a shower, so it doubles as a room aroma. This Pine Tar Exfoliating Bar with sand & oatmeal is my boyfriend's favorite from the range. He says, "I'm a sucker for anything that comes in black. The soap smells great & I really appreciated that it could be used as a scrub by itself."
Headphones - My friend is a musician. He's been on the market for new headphones for a while now. How do I know? He's mentioned it, researched it, & talked about it some more. Opt for headphones that are padded & comfortable. The iHome Freedom Arc wireless headphones might be the way to go. He can jam out & be on the go without being bogged down by wires.

Men are hard to shop for so I usually go for something useful. :]
DeleteThese are all great choices. I usually stick with tee shirts for my husband (he'll take any Ninja Turtle tee), though one year I got him pop culture pajama pants, which he loved! I definitely agree that it's best to stick with "useful" gifts though unless you know he wants something specific.

What kind of pop culture pajamas did you get?! That's a great idea. :]
DeleteThis certainly helps especially because it's so true that men are difficult to shop for.I'm always wondering what to buy for them

The Pine Tar soap is AMAZING! :]
DeleteThese are great picks. Actually, what I learned before on buying gifts for men is that they want a gift that they could actually use, so it's better if you know the guy and know what he needs right now :D
ReplyDeleteSTYLE VANITY ♥
Absolutely Alyssa. It definitely helps to understand what they would do utilize. :]
DeleteMen can be so hard to shop for. Thankfully my husband isn't very picky.
ReplyDeleteBeautetude
That always helps. :]
DeleteGreat gift ideas! Men are so hard to shop for you are so right.

DeleteIt's crazy how difficult men actually are to shop for! I always just end up getting my step dad something from ThinkGeek (last year he got a remote control helicopter) and my boyfriend gets a big fancy dinner that I cook for him. That bar soap would be a nice stocking stuffer! Maybe i'll hang the stocking in the bathroom so it makes it smell nice ;) Thanks for the wonderful gift ideas!

It is! However, the exfoliation factor may be a little bit rough! :]
DeleteI so wish my boyfriend was easy to shop for! The pine tar does sound like a good stocking stuffer! (it would more so be for me to enjoy the smell), haha. Beautiful blog!
ReplyDeletekatiechamel
It's soooo good! Highly recommend getting it. :]
DeleteI really like the packaging of the Wash for Men. Simple! x

Packaging is awesome, isn't it? :]
DeleteI got that Acure Day Cream in my ipsy bag and hated it! It did nothing for me other than a nice pleasant citrusy scent. I got a FitBit Charge HR for my husband and a Kindle, it was the only two things I heard him mentioned about throughout the whole damn year! LOL!

Hmm interesting. My boyfriend liked the Acure Day Cream, so I trust his opinion. A FitBit sounds like a great idea since Boyfriend has a Kindle already! :]
DeleteYou are so right. Gift shopping for my husband was never an easy task, lol. I mostly choose a fashion accessory, such as a wool scarf or leather gloves. It's so cold here during holidays, so cold weather pieces are always needed, lol.
ReplyDeleteI loved the idea of headphones. I think most men like listening to music, so it's hard to guess wrong with this one:) Thank you so much for sharing!

That's a great idea, Yulia. I know from experience my boyfriend would never personally buy himself a scarf or leather glove, but he would use it if I bought them. :]
DeleteGreat ideas, I think my guy would like the headphones most!

As long as he can get something he enjoys, a gift card works. :]

Men are exceptionally hard to get for Christmas! I think socks and t-shirts are a safe bet but I'd probably get my love a skincare set. He needs to take care of his skin...
