Kirkland Signature Praline Pecans from Costco: Ingredients List, Nutrition Facts, and More

If you’ve spent any time wandering the snack aisles of Costco, you’ve probably seen those giant 40-ounce containers of Kirkland Signature Praline Pecans. Whether you’ve passed them by or already tossed a tub in your cart, this indulgent snack deserves a closer look. With a rich, buttery coating and that classic pecan crunch, these praline pecans are a fan favorite for a reason, and not just during the holidays.

2.5 Pounds of Sweet, Nutty Goodness

First off, let’s talk about quantity. This isn’t your typical small bag of nuts. Costco goes big, and this product is no exception. The Kirkland Signature Praline Pecans come in a 40-ounce (2.5-pound) container, making them perfect for sharing, gift baskets, or just long-lasting snacking. It’s the kind of thing that seems like a treat when you open it, but quickly becomes a staple once you realize how versatile they are. It's easy to want one or two to nibble on, then realize you had ... a lot more than that.

Ingredients List for Kirkland Signature Praline Pecans

The ingredient list is straightforward: pecans, sugar, brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, sea salt, and natural flavor. No preservatives, no artificial dyes, no chemical additives. Just classic ingredients that come together to create that signature praline flavor. The coating is rich and sweet, with a buttery finish that doesn’t overpower the natural nutty flavor of the pecans.

Flavor Profile and Texture: Sweet, Crunchy, Buttery

These aren’t your average, plain store-bought nuts. Each pecan is generously coated in a praline glaze that hardens just enough to give you a satisfying crunch. I must note, though, that there are the occasional extremely hard bits, so be careful as you chew.

The sweetness comes primarily from brown sugar and corn syrup, while the butter and sea salt give it a more balanced, nuanced flavor. You get a burst of caramelized sugar with every bite, but you still taste the depth and earthiness of the pecan underneath. The texture is a scrumptious balance of crunchy exterior and slightly chewy nut, making them more than just a sweet snack. It's an experience for your senses, from the comforting aroma to the rush of sugar to the snappiness under your teeth.

Ways to Use the Kirkland Signature Praline Pecans

You can snack on these straight out of the container. Trust me, that's mainly how I eat them. But you, if you have restraint, you may also find it incredibly versatile in recipes.

  • Sprinkle them over a salad with arugula, goat cheese, and vinaigrette for a sweet crunch.
  • Add them to a cheese board or charcuterie platter for a touch of sugar next to savory meats and cheeses.
  • Chop them up and use them as a topping for oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes, or even roasted vegetables.
  • They also shine as a dessert topper: think vanilla ice cream, apple pie, or brownies with a praline pecan finish.

The Price and the Value

These are priced around $15 to $17 per container, depending on your Costco location. Specialty candied nuts at gourmet shops or farmers’ markets can easily run you $8 to $10 for a single half-pound bag or around $20 for a 1-pound bag.

Costco’s version gives you a stellar bang for your buck. If you enjoy sweet snacks or are planning a party, potluck, or holiday spread, this big tub goes a long way. It also adds a touch of decadence wherever it’s served.

Nutrition Facts Per 1-Ounce Serving of Praline Pecans

  • 11 grams of total fat
  • 1 gram of saturated fat
  • 45 milligrams of sodium
  • 15 grams of total carbohydrates

Let’s be real: these are a treat. Each serving (about one ounce) has roughly 150 calories, with a decent dose of fat and sugar. They’re not low-calorie or keto-friendly, but they’re also not pretending to be. Pecans themselves are high in healthy fats, and when eaten in moderation, this snack can be part of a balanced approach to treating yourself.

Storage Tips

Because of the butter and sugar content, you’ll want to store the container in a cool, dry place. A pantry is fine, but if you live in a hot or humid area, you might consider keeping them in the fridge to preserve the texture and freshness. They’re shelf-stable for several weeks (or months if unopened), but good luck keeping them around that long—they tend to disappear fast.

Final Verdict: Are They Worth Buying? Absolutely.

The Kirkland Signature Praline Pecans are definitely worth purchasing from Costco. They work as a snack, an add-on, a dessert topping, or even a thoughtful host gift. If you have a sweet tooth or enjoy nut-based snacks, this is one of those products that will earn a permanent place on your “must-buy” list.

Whether you’re planning a holiday spread, looking for a snack to elevate your daily routine, or just want to keep something sweet and crunchy on hand, these praline pecans deliver. They’re proof that sometimes the best treats come in big plastic tubs. It's easy to go through a large container if you have a few members in your family or if you're planning a party or function.

Costco Food Court Menu

Costco's food court has a few options, allowing members to grab a quick bite to eat. You can order at the self-serve kiosk or in person. It doesn't really matter. The simplicity of the menu is a big part of its allure because you don't have to pick from hundreds of menu items. No frills, no muss, no fuss—just a handful of reliable items that most are familiar with. And while the food court is beloved in the U.S., international Costco locations put their own spin on things. In South Korea, you’ll find bulgogi bakes. Heading north to Canada? There's poutine, of course.

Costco’s food court menu items remains one of the best deals around. And it’s not just about the iconic $1.50 hot dog combo anymore, although it's a staple choice. While the classics are still going strong, the menu has expanded to include heartier options like the rotisserie chicken Caesar salad, a toasted turkey and provolone sandwich, and even a surprisingly satisfying chicken bake.

East Coast Seafood Japanese Hokkaido Scallops from Costco

The East Coast Seafood Japanese Hokkaido Scallops are delicious. They are tender and can absorb whatever flavor you add to them. They come in a 2-pound bag and the scallops may range in size. For best results, cook similar-sized ones together so you don't overcook small ones and undercook larger ones.

You can find these scallops at Costco in the freezer section by other seafood. These are wild caught and a product of Japan. The packaging says that you'll get around 18 to 23 scallops per pound.

The only ingredient is scallops.

Review

I'll admit I wasn't super familiar with scallops until I bought these. But I was extremely impressed. I followed the directions exactly just because I didn't want to mess them up. They were so good. The texture was soft and tender. I added butter, salt, pepper, and lemon as directed and they were delicious. They are not fishy in any way so these are great if you don't love seafood. They absorb a lot of flavors, like butter and lemon so they aren't as fishy as say salmon.

I've also written about the Costco Royal Asia Coconut Shrimp with Sweet Thai Chili Sauce

Costco Royal Asia Coconut Shrimp with Sweet Thai Chili Sauce

Costco Wholesale has a bit of everything. If you've been interested in trying Costco coconut shrimp, they seem to have at least a couple of options: the Aqua Star Coconut Breaded Butterfly Shrimp, Clean Tail, 16-20 ct, 2.5 lbs, and then the Royal Asia Coconut Shrimp with Sweet Thai Chili Sauce, 2 lbs.

I purchased the Royal Asia Coconut Shrimp with Sweet Thai Chili Sauce from Costco.

How to Cook the Frozen Coconut Shrimp

For best results, bake or air fry them. To bake, place the shrimp in a single layer on a sheet pan and bake at 400 degrees F for about 18 minutes or until golden brown. The directions say to flip them halfway through.

If you want to skip the oven, try the air fryer. To air fry the shrimp, heat them at 400 degrees F for about 8 minutes and flip them halfway through.

The Taste of the Coconut Shrimp

The coconut is crispy and tasty. As the name of the frozen coconut shrimp would suggest, it has a deep coconut flavor with the texture of shredded coconut. The shrimp have tails which are easy to remove. The shrimp themselves seem small compared to the amount of coconut on them.

When you use the Thai chili sauce, there is quite a lot of sugar. I actually never ended up using this because the coconut shrimp had a lot of flavor on its own.

Nutrition Facts

The nutrition facts say that there are 8 servings, each 4 oz. This includes the Thai chili sauce, but there are no nutrition facts if you choose to skip the sauce.

Each serving is 390 calories and 24 grams of total fat, 9 grams of saturated fat, 34 grams of carbs, 11 grams of protein, 2 grams of fiber, and 17 grams of sugar.

Final Thoughts - The coconut shrimp are tasty, but there's more coconut than shrimp

I found this in the frozen fish and seafood area of the store. It was on sale at the time, so I decided to buy it. I like the taste and texture; I just feel that the amount of coconut to shrimp is off. There seems to be a lot of coconut and small pieces of shrimp.

Costco has plenty of good deals, so this is already a good value and a delicious way to mix up how you eat shrimp. The shrimp are ready, so you don't have to clean, devein, or do anything other than pop them in the oven or air fryer.

Overall, I enjoyed the flavor, and it's a good item to have on rotation at home. I wouldn't stock it permanently, but it's nice to have when you want something different. These shrimp are fun to bring to a party or for a family dinner when you don't want to make everything from scratch.
