How to Make Any Color Lip Gloss
Make your own lip gloss colors with items you already have at home! I've been experimenting with lip colors recently. I don't necessarily want to invest in a $20 lipstick when I'm not sure about the color selection. I took matters into my own hands. I had this enormous eyeshadow palette with 80 colors & so many different types of lip balms. I thought I could combine the two & create my own lip glosses...& I did!
Obviously, make sure your eye shadow is non toxic. You don't want to be putting something on your mouth that you may possibly ingest on the small-scale if it's toxic or unhealthy for you. I haven't died yet, so I'll take that as a good sign. ;D
3. Blend the lip balm & the eyeshadow color(s) onto your hand until you get your desired hue. Carefully apply the product onto your lips and & revel at your masterpiece.
This gloss is not long lasting, but it's great to use in a jiffy. I found that this lasts me maybe a couple hours if I don't eat or drink. This homemade lip gloss is definitely not a long-lasting, high-quality, high pigmented color, but this is wonderful for those of us who want to have a rainbow of colors at our fingertips without spending so much money to achieve the look.
I've created colors from an icy blue that perhaps Elsa from Frozen would like to represent to a warm berry color to a nice bubblegum pink. The options are limitless. Now it's your turn. Would you ever try this? Do you like the color I'm wearing? It's so easy!

Ocean || A poem
Ocean || A poem by Carmen Varner
Have you ever wanted something so bad
so so bad
that it brought you to tears?
I don't mean those crying tears.
I'm talking about those tears of passion
& rage
& hope
& yearning.
The tears that mean the most.
The water droplets that fall from my eyes
in moments of pure admiration of the future,
in moments of wonder,
in moments of hopefulness
in moments of stress.
These moments come by stampede,
crushing my hatred
& taking over my soul.
I am not sad.
I am not crying.
These are tears.
These drops fell from my heart
& into reality.
I will try
& then I'll try again.
Then I'll try once more
until I become the ocean
my tears created
& the tide will bring me home.

Try. Try. Try. Until one day you DO. This poem is for those of us who have a vision & want to achieve it. This poem is for those of us who have no idea where they are or where they're going. This poem is for those of us who are trying every single day regardless of everything that sets us back. You can do it. We can do it. Nobody knows how far you've come.
What are your thoughts about Ocean? Do you have any passion(s) that bring you to tears? Tell me a little bit about yourself. What are your goals? :]
Bath and Body Works Wallflower Plug Ins Review: How to Use and How Long Do Wallflowers Last?
You're here because you want an honest Bath & Body Works Wallflower review. I love a good scent., I'm a sucker for scent. I went to Bath & Body Works after Christmas for their sales, as per usual, & I spotted a sale I couldn't pass up. I've seen the Wallflowers for as long as I can remember but never wanted to pay full price for them. Victory is mine! I always make sure to find a good deal when I can. If there's anything more I love than a scent, it's a good sale. My Bath & Body Works has some pretty great sales at that. There are many comforting and uplifting choices.
Shop the Bath & Body Works 6-Pack Wallflowers Sampler Fragrance Refills, 6 Different Scents, Assorted Colors.
According to Bath & Body Works, a Wallflower Home Fragrance Plug is a fresh take on the traditional plug-in air freshener that fills your room with non-stop fragrance. You plug the fragrance refill into an electrical outlet and the scent is released. Some scents include Fresh Linen, Beach Day, Tropical Oasis, Island Margarit, Fresh Spring Morning, and so much more. So the question is How well do Bath and Body Works Wallflowers work? How to Use Bath and Body Works Wallflower? How Long Do Wallflowers Last?
Bath and Body Works Plug ins
I spent about $32: got 10 Wallflowers fragrance refill fragrances & one Wallflower fragrance plugin. There are a lot of Bath and Body Works plug ins to pick from. They only had a pumpkin, snowman, or fir tree. I went for the tree. Hey, I like nature. Looking at their non-holiday fragrance plugs, I really love their pineapple nightlight, the palm leaf or the parrot.
Shop the Bath & Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Wallflowers Home Fragrance Refills, 2-Pack (1.6 fl oz total).
How Long Does a Bath and Body Works Wallflower Refill Last?
Are Wallflowers safe to leave plugged in? How long can you leave Wallflowers plugged in? I bought these after Christmas & have been using mine for about six weeks, so I have a good gauge of how they work. You can also score some good items during the BBW Christmas sale. The associate said each Wallflower refill lasts about 4-6 weeks. I would say that's accurate, leaning more toward the 4-week mark. You can tell it's getting low when the liquid starts to disappear.
Shop the holiday Wallflower plugins! Here are just a few of the current options
However, if you have a larger room, the scent won't be as potent or won't last as long since it has to fill more space. If you place the Wallflower plugin in the bathroom, you'll have plenty of scent wafting through. If you place it in an open area such as an apartment with a living room, kitchen, walk-in area all kind of open, it won't be as potent.
How to Use Bath and Body Works Wallflower
Buy the plug, remove cap from fragrance, twist in the Wallflower fragrance refill, then plug it in. The Wallflower leaves a lingering scent throughout the room. My Bath and Body works air fresheners are located in the bedroom and bathroom. Basically, anytime you walk in you have a nice whiff of the scent. There are dozens of fragrance refills. Some of mine include Sparkling Amber, Be Daring Spiced Saffron Redwood, & Smoked Berries & Incense. Popular scents are Japanese Cherry Blossom, Eucalyptus Mink
The Wallflowers are perfect for those of us who like a good-smelling room. I recommend putting this in a smaller area because the scent will not be as strong. I'm pretty pleased with my $32 purchase; I think it will last me most of the year. Well, it'll last until the next big sale I hope!
Pros
+ Smells great
+ Variety of scents & plugins to choose from
+ Works best in a small room
+ Low maintenance
Cons
+ Somewhat expensive at full price
+ Doesn't work well in large rooms
Bath Body Works Wallflowers
So yeah, that's my Bath & Body Works Wallflower review. It's a solid product. There are so many Wallflower options & scents. They even have holiday goodies like Fresh Balsam, Vanilla Bean Noel, Frosted Cranberry, Blueberry Sugar, & more. They keep coming up with new stuff! There are definitely a lot of really good fragrances to choose from. Some Wallflowers even have a light so it acts as a night light as well.

Wingless || A poem
I wondered wholeheartedly
as the whiskey wooed my wounds.
I wandered within my wisdom
while the warmth of the world
washed away my worries
& the wind whispered wordlessly.
Why wish upon the stars
when I can walk among them?
Why wait for the earth to be woven
when I can weave it myself?
Why worry about worthless wars
when I am waging them within my wellbeing?
I am wingless but still worthy;
I am wild but still working,
willfully but not woefully.
Wherever I will whimsy,
I wondered wholeheartedly.

Wingless is about the internal struggle we have within us. We wage a war upon ourselves by constantly criticizing our bodies, underestimating our power, doubting our self-worth. But we are everything & more. Why wish upon the stars when I can walk among them? Don't idolize others, when you are the star. We are stars, we are worth it. Why wait for the earth to be woven when I can weave it myself? We don't have to wait for our futures because we create it every day. We don't need others to do work for us when we are more than capable of doing it ourselves. Why worry about worthless wars when I am waging them within my wellbeing? All these thoughts & problems rise from our own minds. Change your attitude & stop the war against yourself.
What are your thoughts about being Wingless? What did you gather from my poem? I love to learn how others translate what I write. Let me know. :]

How to Toast Quinoa
Quinoa is a magical little grain that's high in protein & gluten-free. In fact, it's actually a seed. I want to show you a wonderful way to give it some natural flavor. That said, you definitely don't toast quinoa in the toaster! Hehehe. Keep reading to learn how to toast quinoa.
1. Locate your quinoa. Found it? Got it? Good. Moving on.
2. Preheat your pan. No need for oil.
3. Gently rinse your quinoa. There's often dirt & other bits o' nature in there.
4. Add your desired amount of quinoa to the pan.
5. Stir lightly until toasty.
Ok, so yes those are the basics.
You really need to keep your eye on the pan, constantly moving the quinoa around. If you don't it'll burn. You'll know your quinoa is just about ready when you start to hear some slight crackling. This means they're getting nice & toasty. You'll see the edges start to brown. You'll smell a lovely waft of aromatic flavor -- kind of nutty.
Slight crackling. Brown edges. Fragrant smell. These are signs you know it's cooking & that it's just about ready. You may toast the quinoa for however long you prefer. Simply monitor the brownness. Let that be your guide because you don't want it to be over toasted or burned.
After your quinoa is toasted, cook as directed. This usually means boiling it for about 20 minutes. Add water to your pan & just let it simmer over low heat until ready. The usual ratio is 1 cup quinoa to 2 cups water. Substitute couscous with quinoa in this cumin chickpea dish. Do you have much cooking with quinoa experience? Was learning how to toast quinoa useful? Have you ever tried toasting your quinoa prior to eating it? :]
